Listening Here is informed by the practices of Deep Listening and Soundwalking. Deep Listening is a philosophy and practise of sonic awareness created by pioneering composer Pauline Oliveros. A soundwalk is an excursion focused on listening to the environment, “to every sound around us no matter where we are”, popularized by composer and sound ecologist Hildegard Westerkamp.
